If you have resolved to use locally sourced ingredients in your kitchen this year, head out to the Sienna Plantation Community Farmers Market every fourth Sunday through October.
The cornucopia of vendors gathers at our train depot parking lot near the amphitheater, 9600 Scanlan Trace, from 1-5 p.m. The first market of the year will take place on Jan. 28. A special holiday schedule for November and December will help shoppers plan their special dinners with the market taking place from 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, and 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15.
Launched in 2016, the market typically attracts more than three dozen vendors each month providing delectable baked goods, healthy beverages, grass-fed meats, prepared foods, olive oils, honey, vegetables, spices, flowers and more.
The vendor schedule changes monthly, but previous vendors have included SweetNess Honey Beetique, Schilling Farms, Texas Fresh Juice, Bare Bakery and Bones on the Go. New this year will be Jolly Farms and Katerra Exotic Meats.
A line up of food trucks offer a number of rolling treats including Mary Had a Little Party, Old Bucs BBQ and the Sauerkraut Truck.
Come out and support the smallest of small businesses while filling your basket with tasty, locally sourced food your family will love.
