How large is your master-planned community? Is it one of the top five master-planned communities in the Houston area? It is if you live in Sienna Plantation.
The Houston Business Journal recently ranked the Houston-area’s 20 Largest Master-planned Communities based on the number of home starts between Oct. 1, 2016, and Sept. 30, 2017. We nabbed the No. 5 spot with 359 home starts.
Now, that’s a lot of new neighbors, but we are a 10,800-acre community, so we’ve got plenty of room.
Sawmill Lake Club, our highly anticipated fourth recreation complex, opened in October. In addition to housing our fifth community pool, the facility offers a clubhouse with a lounge (check out the double fireplace when you come visit), fitness center with cardio equipment, exercise studio with a cushioned dance floor and covered porches as well as an event lawn, spray pad and playground complete with a zip line.
Back in August, Donald Leonetti Elementary opened. Our sixth on-site school (and our fourth on-site elementary) will soon be joined by Thornton Middle School, which opens its doors in 2018.
We’ve added new builders, model homes and neighborhoods as well. Last month, our newest builder M/I Homes opened their first Sienna model home, and Chesmar Homes, too, opened a brand new model, both in Mill Crossing, while long-time Sienna builder Taylor Morrison opened its newest neighborhood, Laurel Grove last summer.
With so much going on, it’s no wonder we made the top five — or that we were ranked among the top 2017 top five “Best Suburbs to Live in Houston” by Niche.com. Or (not to brag — really) that we were recently named the 2017 Master-planned Community of the Year by the Greater Houston Builders Association.
Come out and judge for yourself whether or not we are one of the best master-planned communities in the Houston area. You’ll be glad you did.
