Fill Your Basket at Sienna Community Farmers Market May 21
You can fill your market basket with fresh fruits, vegetables and other yummy goodies a bit earlier this month as the Sienna Community Farmers Market will be open this Sunday, May 21, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Thousands of shoppers visit the monthly market, located at 9600 Scanlan Trace Blvd., (otherwise known as the Train Depot Parking Lot that is next to the Bucket Pool) for the best our local vendors have to offer. Normally slated for the fourth Sunday of each month, market organizers moved up the fresh-pickings day to the third Sunday because of Memorial Day weekend. Stock up on some delectable gluten-free treats from Bare Bakery, as well as organic juices from Texas Fresh Juice to wash it down. Spring gifts such as candles, jewelry and fresh flowers also will be available.
The market is a non-profit organization, so if you enjoy visiting, consider volunteering. There are many jobs that organizers could really use help with. The market is free and open to the public.
Sienna Plantation residents enjoy being within walking distance of the market and a number of fun amenities such as 100+ acres of parks, miles of walking trails, water parks and the Sienna Plantation Golf Club. The community also allows easy access to Sugar Land’s main attractions including the Smart Financial Centre, the Houston Museum of Natural Science and Sugar Land Town Square.
